    The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is pleased to announce that the call for training provider submissions is now open. This funding aims to award grant to accredited training companies who are interested in:

    • Assisting new entrants in launching successful careers through on-job and off-job training
    • Providing skills development programmes for professionals already in the film industry to enhance their career development.
    • Facilitating short courses/workshops for professionals

    The NFVF is looking for submissions in the following fields identified as scarce skills in the ā€œState of Skills in the South African Film Industry Researchā€ conducted in 2016. The scarce programmes can be found on this link: NFVF Skills Audit Report.

    ELIGIBILITY:

    • Applicants and participants must be South African citizens.
    • The curriculum offered must be SETA or Department of Higher Education accredited.
    • The curriculum must indicate the intended target audience, relevant industry skills and the delivery method.
    • Preference will be given to service providers offering training in underserviced province/s
    • The trainers must have a proven record of accomplishment and the ability to deliver on the proposed programmes.
    • 51% black-owned and managed companies

    COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Complete online application form
    • Detailed budget with a finance plan if the amount exceeds R350 000 CAP amount (including the list of additional investors and their planned contributions to the project). An overhead budget should not exceed 10% of the total budget.
    • Financial Plan (including other sources of income)
    • Information on other confirmed sources of finance and letters of support
    • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Clearance Status Pin Document (must be valid for one year) (OF A COMPANY IF APPLYING AS A COMPANY OR OF AN APPLICANT IF APPLYING AS AN INDIVIDUAL)
    • BBBEE Certificate or the BBBEE Affidavit, signed by a Commissioner of Oaths (OF A COMPANY, NOT OLDER THAN 1 YEAR)
    • Full or provisional accreditation from MICT Seta or Department of Higher Education
    • Proof of success-rate of past training initiatives
    • CV of an applicant and of tutors and proof of appointment to teach.

    • Training outcomes
    • Learner selection criteria
    • List of trainees anticipated competencies.
    • Details of practical training while on the course
    • Details of post programme support
    • Assessment and evaluation criteria
    • Certified ID Copy of an applicant (Certified within six months at the date of application)
    • Company registration documents (IF APPLYING AS A COMPANY)

    Applications will not be considered if:

    • The application form is incomplete or incorrect information is provided.
    • Supporting documents are missing or not certified.
    • Applications OR documents sent via email will not be considered.

    The Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (ā€œHWSETAā€) invites all registered Small and Micro Enterprise (SMEs) of the Health and Welfare sector to apply to participate in the implementation of Small and Micro Enterprise Organisation funding 2024-2025.

    All applicants must complete the following information:

    • Section B – Breakdown of Beneficiaries
    • Section C – Authorisation Form

    Details of the Small and Micro Enterprise Funding Project

    The Small and Micro Enterprise (SME) Grant is aimed at enabling qualifying SMEs in our sector to access funding for training interventions that would have a direct impact on their businesses in terms of growth, sustainability and the level of professionalism.

    SMEs businesses must be privately owned and operated with 11-50 paid employees and medium businesses as those that have 51-250 paid employees. Emerging organisations are growing organisations that can have one employee to 10 employees.

    Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in our sector include Veterinary hospitals/clinics, Animal welfare organisations, Counselling services, Registered therapeutic health and skin care services, Physician offices, Owner-managed radiography practices, Small and medium-sized pharmacists’ practices, Optometrist practices, Paediatrics practices, Dental practices, Social workers in private practices, Psychologists in private practices, Dietetics and nutritional services, Hearing and audiometric services, Laboratory & Pathology services, and Ambulance services. These cover both animal and human health.

    Details of the funding for all employers wishing to participate:

    • The Employers (SMEs) must be registered with HWSETA.
    • Participating enterprises and organisations must be formally registered (e.g., Statutory Council registration certificate [practice number], and CIPC registration, whichever is applicable). TheĀ Registration status of the organisation must be valid at the time of application and throughout the implementation of the project.
    • Valid tax clearance/PIN
    • When submitting an application, the employer must have submitted a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to HWSETA by 30 April 2023 and/or 30 April 2024.
    • All applications must be submitted on the SETA application portal by the due date in line with the requirements of the grant as indicated under details of the funding, and all the required attachments accompany the application.

    Qualifying criteria:

    • All employersĀ must be registered with the Health and Welfare SETA and be in possession of an SDL number or T-number.
    • All employersĀ must have submitted a Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report to HWSETA by the time of EOI submission.
    • All employersĀ must ensure that all applications are done in line with the requirements of the funding as indicated.
    • All employersĀ falling in this category that were approved for skills programme funding under learning programme expression of interest in 2024-2025 year will be excluded.
    • Be compliant with all relevant legislation.

    Please note the following employment equity targets which the SETA will consider when allocating the grant to qualifying organisations:

    • At leastĀ 85%Ā of all organisations funded must beĀ Black owned
    • At leastĀ 54%Ā of all organisations funded must beĀ Woman dominated
    • At leastĀ 5%Ā of all organisations funded must beĀ persons working with disabilities, families and children

    The HWSETA reserves the right to withdraw the approval if:

    • The information provided in the application form is not true and correct; or
    • The employer does not adhere to any of the requirements laid down by the HWSETA.

    The learners will be funded at the maximum of R4000 per participant and the funding is targeting only employed persons. Further, no learner will be funded for more than one course. The employers will be required to submit proof of learner registration against any of the following interventions:
