Required Qualifications:

Skills

  1. Project Management:
    • Strong ability to plan, execute, and oversee apprenticeship programs from start to finish.
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project) to monitor timelines, budgets, and progress.
  2. Communication:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear articulation of apprenticeship requirements, updates, and feedback to stakeholders.
    • Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including apprentices, educational institutions, corporate partners, and internal teams.
  3. Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Demonstrated capability to lead teams, providing guidance and mentorship to apprentices throughout the program duration.
    • Ability to motivate and inspire participants to succeed in their apprenticeships and contribute meaningfully to their organizations.
  4. Problem-Solving:
    • Strong analytical skills to identify challenges in apprenticeship programs and proactively implement solutions.
    • Ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions that enhance program effectiveness and impact.
  5. Data Analysis:
    • Proficiency in gathering and analyzing program data (e.g., apprenticeship performance, participation rates) to report on outcomes and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel) to present data to stakeholders clearly.
  6. Stakeholder Management:
    • Ability to engage with both external and internal stakeholders, ensuring apprenticeship goals align with the needs and objectives of all parties involved.
  7. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
    • Experience with talent scouting, recruitment strategies, and onboarding processes to identify high-potential apprentices.
    • Ability to conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and match them with suitable apprenticeship opportunities.
  8. Digital Literacy:
    • Proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and apprenticeship-specific platforms.
    • Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and remote program management.

Education

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields (or a related discipline):
    • Human Resources Management
    • Business Administration
    • Education
    • Social Sciences
    • Public Administration
    • or any other field that supports apprenticeship management.
  2. Certifications (Optional but advantageous):
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
    • Human Resource Management Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
    • Apprenticeship or Vocational Training Certification.
    • Data Analysis/Statistics Certification (e.g., Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Tableau).
  3. Continuous Learning:
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development through workshops, courses, and seminars related to apprenticeship management, recruitment, and leadership.

Experience

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing or coordinating apprenticeship programs, internships, or similar training initiatives. Experience in both corporate and educational settings is an advantage.
  2. Experience with Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Proven track record of working with diverse stakeholders such as employers, educational institutions, and government entities to develop and manage apprenticeship opportunities.
  3. Experience in Program Evaluation:
    • Experience in measuring the success of apprenticeship programs using key performance indicators (KPIs) and making recommendations for program improvements.
  4. Experience in Recruitment and Talent Development:
    • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and mentor apprentices, providing career development support throughout their apprenticeship journey.
  5. Knowledge of Legal and Regulatory Requirements:
    • Familiarity with national or regional labor laws, apprenticeship regulations, and policies governing training programs, including equal opportunity and diversity mandates.
  6. Experience with Budget Management:
    • Knowledge and experience in managing budgets for apprenticeship programs, ensuring cost-efficiency and accountability.
  7. Experience in Educational Program Design:
    • Experience developing curricula, training plans, or structured learning paths to enhance apprenticeship outcomes.
